The Ability First Experience

Since 1985, Ability First Sports has delivered instructional and recreational sport opportunities to over 1,000 youth with physical disabilities throughout the Western United States during a week-long Adaptive Youth Sports Camp held on the California State University, Chico (CSUC) campus.  Sport instruction ranges from the beginner through both the junior and national levels of athletic competition.

Sport instruction is provided by world-class coaches with disabilities who have had successful careers in competitive athletes at the collegiate, national, and international level. The elite coaching staff is a vital part of our program, acting as role models for our youth athletes.
